Browsing local books
MGutenberg saves downloaded books in "Documents / Books", using the naming scheme "Author / Author - Title [language]". If you follow this naming scheme, you can also copy extra books in this location.
To search for a book (or author), start typing. A search toolbar appears.
To view the list, select "Local books" from the view menu. Tap on a book in the list to read it. Long tap brings up a context menu with additional actions.
Reading books
You can open a book for reading, via "Open..." from the main menu, by tapping in the local book list, or immediately after downloading.
You can scroll a page up or down, by tapping the top or the bottom of the page. The page can also be scrolled by dragging or flicking it. Tapping the center of the page makes it full-screen.
MGutenberg remembers your previous position in a book: when you open the book next time, you can continue reading starting from the same position.
Other options are available in the view menu:
- Portrait -- view the page in the portrait mode
- Inverse colors -- show text as gray on black, instead of black on white.
